The photo shows the largest pylon of the Schilthorn Cable Car before it was completely renovated in recent years (completion in 2026). This is Pylon No. 5, which no longer stands today. The new Schilthorn Cable Car now runs over only one pylon in the Mürren–Birg section, which is significantly taller. A unique feature of the old Pylon No. 5 was a boarding and exit point, though this was not used during regular operation.
